I love note cards sets, especially for personal gifts, and this one was easy to make using the Stampin’ Up! Mixed Florals and Mixed Labels stamp set with the coordinating Designer Series Paper™ (DSP) and cardstock. The finished set includes 5 notes cards and envelopes (SU basic white note cards & envelopes, item 159232) with a box custom-sized to store the set. The card is layered and the matching/coordinating box (design courtesy of Mary Knabe on YouTube). For the note card, I selected the Mixed Media Florals 12×12 DSP as the focal point of colors for the cards and used the flowers & cute lady bug from the Mixed Florals photopolymer stamp set including a die (for the label) from the Mixed Labels Dies.

The sentiment on the label of on the front, “Just A Little Note”, is from the SU Penciled Pear cling stamp set (also on the Last Chance list; it’s still available at the date/time of this post). Because I like to decorate the inside of my cards, I stamped the in the right-bottom corner (picture not shown) with the only flower in the Mixed Labels cling stamp set in Mossy Meadow (classic ink pad).

This project does require coloring of the image, which is a very large stamp, but I only stamped the top half using black Memento ink and colored it with stamping blends – Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight, Boho Blue (retiring this year as an In Color), Old Olive – matching the colors listed on the DSP package with exception of Old Olive. I substituted Mossy Meadow blends with Old Olive because mine was damaged, but I’ve since ordered a replacement.

The box was made using instructions from a YouTube video by SU demonstrator Mary Knabe posted about a year ago: Easy to Make Boxes in 3 Sizes. I modified the instructions a little to try to get a better fit for the SU note card set.  Additional products used are: Poppy Parade 8-½ x 11 cardstock and Basic White Thick cardstock (currently unavailable), Stampin’ Seal, and Tear & Tape Adhesive for a tighter seal.
